Limited Edition

It’s no secret… I am obsessed with Nuthatch Grey.

I came across Nuthatch Grey fabrics in 2020 while scrolling through Instagram and knew immediately I needed to convince their team to work with me.

I was captivated by the vibrancy of the colours and exquisite details in each piece. Patterns are not repeated but each measurement of fabric is a work of art in itself. The scenes evoked such strong emotions from my childhood. I knew their designs would translate perfectly across my garments.

We started small, with the Nuthatch Grey team able to produce some small samples on different fabrics before Covid hit. I was able to trial several pieces for my own dogs, (which I still have today in our own archive collection) but I could not stop thinking about the possibilities for a wider collaboration in the future.

I was so happy to discover Nuthatch Grey had been able, like ourselves,  to batten down the hatches and weather the crisis. Reconnecting and giving new life to our relationship since then has been like a breath of fresh air, making our journey to this point so worthwhile. I love how perfectly our core values align on quality, craftsmanship, dedication, and working with our hands.

This is a collaboration of longevity.

This is not fast fashion or mass production. Nuthatch Grey, much like ourselves, only produces in small batch quantities using British mills and workshops. Their creative visions are born from their passion for nature and the British countryside and wildlife.

I am delighted to have the opportunity to bring their incredible illustrations to life in the very first of what I hope will be many, limited-edition garments within our Wondercoat x Nutchatch Grey collaboration.

Our launch piece ‘Wildflowers and Bees’ is one of my favourite designs. It evokes memories of my childhood summers in the English countryside. It brings me joy to see my dogs wearing it and, after all, isn’t that what it’s all about?

We will be launching new designs throughout the year but please do reach out if you have a specific design you would like us to explore.
