I’ve always struggled with getting a harness to fit Poppy my 4Kg miniature Dachshund, they were either too big or a size down was so small that I couldn’t fasten it. Not now though I contacted Michela for some advice, she was so patient and gave me the best advice. On the back of answering all my questions I ordered an All Weather Kit, finally I got a harness that fits. Poppy is very close to the ground, (less than two inches) and the walk along the river is where I take her is often a sea of mud. When I get home I simply run the harness and coat under the cold running water and then leave it to drip dry and it looks like brand new again, what could be easier! I just wish that I had ordered one when I first saw them advertised. I will most definitely be ordering a fleece harness coat to keep my precious little Dachshund warm and dry during the winter. Thank you Michela you deserve a medal for all of your hard work.
I have a 5 year old harness escape artist called Hugo – I’ve tried 9 different harnesses over the years (yes 9, I have them all “for the memories” from some of the big well known brands and not cheap either), but I’m so glad that I now have a wondercoat, Hugo’s number 10 harness, but he cannot get out of this, it doesn’t rub his armpits, it’s soft against his sensitive and rash prone skin – he also looks extra handsome in it, but that’s a side perk.
My biggest regret – I didn’t find it sooner, or I thought – it’s not worth the price tag.. it is! Yes a considered purchase – but you buy one and only one, the quality is great, imagine high end custom tailored human clothes – this is that.
You will often see me posting (un paid) posts on Instagram (@nathanscott91 or @Hugo.W9) with how great the harness and tech fleece are!
The product is so great, we’ve just rescued from China another dachshund called Finn, and when he’s ready, this will be his first and only harness we buy for him (currently in Hugo’s hand me downs as he has a little more growing and weight to gain)

Have previously purchased the excellent harness and technical fleece for my minature dachshund when he was a puppy. This was after much searching for a coat that would fit his shape and was of good quality. Wondercoat harness and fleece proved to be excellent quality and fit. Due to now needing a larger size I have again purchased from Wondercoat – the Autumn Kit – in orange and black which is perfect. Michela as ever has been very helpful in advising re sizes (and she was exactly right!). It is such a good combination of items, which work well together offering options for wear. I have also used Michela’s expertise for repair of the old harness and padded winter coat. Both looked absolutely good as new. A fantastic company, superb products and personal service. Thoroughly recommended.
This has been the 2nd harness i’ve purchased from wondercoat but this time I ordered the autumn set & it’s beautiful , I picked the pink which is a stunning colour & the materials used are outstanding as well as the workmanship that is put into making these items especially for all of the dachshund owners xx
